Sponge Wrap

The Sponge Wrap design comes from the experience of plug fishermen over the past 4 decades. From California to Washington, to BC and Alaska, fishermen have been catching steelhead and salmon with anchovy and sardine filets, (used as an attractant), wrapped around their Kwikfish and flatfish. The Sponge Wrap eliminates the messy and time-consuming filleting process and adds color as an additional attractant.

The Sponge Wrap is approximately two and three quarters of an inch long and a three quarters of an inch wide. It is made from our base sponge material, backed with absorbent cotton flannel, and dyed with our proprietary color technology. A small hole is cut down the center to insert your front hook through. Some versions have eyes that rattle, adding another sensory attraction. The Sponge Wrap has no permanent adhesive backing so it is easily removed when you are done fishing or want to use a different scent.

Few tackle shops carry herring or sardines and it's often tough for anglers to come up with bait on short notice. Real fish wraps also have to be kept refrigerated adding to the hassle of gearing-up for fishing with them. Sponge Wraps, on the other hand, are designed to be used with your favorite attractant, come in a re-sealable bag, and they can be stored in a tackle box without going bad.

The Sponge Wrap is an awesome fish catcher. Just tie it to your kwikfish/flatfish with spider/stretch thread and add your favorite scent. Be sure to tune your wrapped lure for proper action. The Sponge Wrap is sized to fit K14-K16 Kwikfish, however some fishermen size it down with scissors.

Wrap one on and hold tight for that vicious take down!!
